Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is coming to Paducah on Thursday as part of her statewide effort to increase civic engagement.
Grimes will present findings from the 2016 Kentucky Civic Health Index released earlier this year. Her office says the tour is an effort to get more people involved in government and community organizations.
Grimes and other local leaders will hold a discussion at noon at the Paducah School of Art and Design, 2D & Graphic Design Building on 915 Harrison Street.
Grimes has said since the first index there has been an increase in volunteering and charitable giving. However, she has said there has also been a decline in trust in government, public schools and the media.
