A Jefferson County middle school principal is the new Hopkinsville High School principal.

24-year education veteran Curtis Higgins is currently the assistant principal at Myers Middle School but will take up principal duties at the start of this school year.

Christian County Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill says Higgins’ knowledge, experience and talents make him an ideal candidate for this position. The school board reviewed eleven applications for the principal position and unanimously decided on Higgins.
