A recent International Blues Challenge winner will perform at this year’s Kenlake Hot August Blues Festival.

Nashville-based artist Al Hill won the Best Solo/Duo Act and Best Solo Guitarist categories in The Blues Foundation sponsored 2017 competition.

Hill is the long-time music director for three-time Grammy nominee Bettye LaVette. He also joins his wife Whit Hill in her band The Postcards.

The west Kentucky festival is now in its 27th year. Other performers include Big Mike Griffin and Alonzo Pennington.

The Hot August Blues Festival is August 26 and 27 at Kenlake State Park in Aurora.
