The Kentucky Supreme Court has issued new mandates to limit in-person proceedings and restrict access to judicial facilities as the coronavirus continues to spread in Kentucky.

Kentucky Chief Justice John D. Minton Jr. said in an email to court personnel last week that court activities must be restricted to protect the public and court staff. Nearly all of Kentucky’s 120 counties are in the critical or red category, the highest level of average daily cases based on population.

The orders become effective on Nov. 30 and affect every county.
