A man in Clarksville could face 40 felony charges of identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

52-year-old Bobby Webb is in the Montgomery County Jail after making more than $1,000 in fraudulent charges. His bond is $301,000.

Two victims had their cards stolen last week. According to Public Information Officer Jim Knoll, each time a card is used, it leads to separate charges of both fraudulent use and identity theft. The individual charges on the cards range from roughly $37 to $173.

One victim had their purse stolen containing multiple credit and debit cards from an unlocked vehicle on Dec. 6. The other victim had lost or had their wallet stolen on Dec. 5.

There are leads being followed to identify another suspect.
