Marshall County High School to Host First Responder Breakfast on Anniversary or School Shooting

Marshall County Schools’ officials have alerted parents and students that the high school is hosting a first responder appreciation breakfast Wednesday morning and to not be alarmed by the sight of Lifeflight helicopters on the school’s campus.

Wednesday is the one-year anniversary of a shooting at the high school that claimed the lives of two students. School officials told parents in an email sent out Tuesday afternoon that the school is hosting the breakfast in the school’s cafeteria at 7:30 a.m.

The email says the Lifeflight crew from Vanderbilt University Hospital is scheduled to attend and will be landing their helicopters on the high school football field. Several students were treated via Lifeflight after the shooting left two dead and more than a dozen others injured.
