Marshall County Parole Officer Charged with Evidence Tampering

KSP/Wikipedia

A former Marshall County parole officer has been charged with evidence tampering after a Kentucky State Police investigation.

In December, the state Department of Corrections contacted the KSP alleging Probation Officer Bobby Johnston inaccurately reported results of a field drug test on a parolee in Marshall County.

During the investigation, Johnston resigned from Probation and Parole.

Last week, a grand jury returned indictments for Tampering with Evidence and 2nd Degree Forgery, both class D felonies. 40-year-old Johnston of Benton was charged Monday.

KSP continues to investigate along with the state Internal Affairs Branch.
