McCracken County High School has named Matthew Houser as interim principal.
Houser served as assistant principal when the school opened in 2013.
“I am very proud to serve as the interim principal of McCracken County High School,” Houser said. “We will continue to operate as a Mustang Family because that’s what we are -- a family. Students will continue to be our first priority as we move forward.”
McCracken County Interim Superintendent Heath Cartwright said he has confidence in Houser’s ability to bring a sense of healing to the high school.
Houser is serving in place of Michael Ceglinski, who was suspended last month. Ceglinski is being charged with failure to report child dependency, abuse or neglect. He is still on paid leave.
