More Kentucky parks are set to reopen in June. Gov. Andy Beshear said four Kentucky State Park lodges that were previously designated as part of the state’s coronavirus emergency response will reopen on June 8.
They include Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, Lake Barkley State Resort Park, Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park and Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park.
Officials say a decline in cases of the virus means the lodging is no longer necessary for response efforts. Health officials continue to stress the need for masks and social distancing to limit the spread of the virus.
