The Murray-Calloway Parks Department is losing its second director in less than 13 months.
Monday, Lindsey Harlan offered her resignation before the parks board citing personal reasons.
She took up the position in November last year after her predecessor Tab Brockman left to take the same job in Hopkinsville.
Harlan says she thinks she’s been an asset in improving finances and protocol around the park, but believes it’s time to move on with her other goals.
She says there are a few pending grant applications for the next director – one for FEMA money and another for holiday activities.
Harlan’s last day is October 24th. A timeframe for selecting a new Murray parks director is pending.
