The Purchase Area Development District is providing free reviews in November at Senior Centers in the region for Medicare Part D enrollees.
The reviews will compare current prescription drug plans to help find cost reductions or better coverage.
The PADD will set up workshops at Senior Centers beginning Wednesday in Ballard County. More workshops follow in Hickman, Murray-Calloway, Marshall and Fulton counties.
The PADD saidthe federal government will charge a monthly penalty to anyone who is 65 or older and not enrolled in a Part D plan.
Individuals will need to bring to the meeting their Medicare card, list of prescriptions and the name of their preferred pharmacy. Open enrollment ends December 7. The full schedule of workshops are listed below.
November 1st from 9 AM - 2 PM Ballard County Senior Center
November 8th from 9:30 - Noon Hickman County Senior Center
November 9th from 9 AM - 2 PM Murray-Calloway County Senior Center
November 13th from 11 -2 PM Marshall County Senior Center
November 21st from 9 - 12 PM Fulton County Senior Center in Hickman
November 30th from 9 AM - 2 PM Murray-Calloway County Senior Center
