The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Lt. Governor Candidate Forum October 1 at noon. Republican nominee Jenean Hampton and Democratic nominee State Rep. Sannie Overly have confirmed their participation.
WPSD will broadcast the forum live during their noon newscast for approximately 40 minutes and stream live on their website. WKYX will broadcast live on Life Talk 102.5. The candidate forum will include opening comments from each candidate, a question and answer session with a local media panel, and concluding remarks by each candidate. WPSD Local 6 News Anchor Todd Faulkner will serve as moderator. Panelists include Jennifer Horbelt, WPSD Local 6 News Anchor; Mallory Panuska, The Paducah Sun; Matt McClain, WKYX; and Chad Lampe, WKMS.
Audience attendees will be asked to follow these guidelines:
-No campaign materials or promotion activities will be permitted by attendees.
-Supporters must be respectful and courteous. No unruly behavior will be allowed. Those who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave.
-Recorded images may not be utilized for advertising or marketing purposes by the candidates or their campaigns.
-the audience will be asked to remain silent during the Forum and to refrain from responding to any candidate’s answers or comments.
