The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum next month for the candidates in Kentucky’s 1st District Supreme Court race.
Court of Appeals Judge Christopher Shea Nickell and Republican State Senator Whitney Westerfield are both vying for the seat in the November 5 general election.
Former Justice Bill Cunningham retired in February. The winner of his seat will serve the remainder of his term until 2022.
The forum is part of the Chamber’s Power in Partnership breakfast on September 5. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center.
The 1st Supreme Court District consists of 24 western Kentucky counties.
