Darrell Scott, who has established himself as one of Nashville's premier songwriters and studio musicians, will be performing at the Lowertown Arts & Music Festival this weekend in Paducah, KY. Scott visits Sounds Good to discuss his prolific musical career and his upcoming performance.
Darrell Scott, an Indiana native, has been living in Nashville, TN since 1995 working as a singer-songwriter and studio musician. He has co-written several mainstream country songs, such as "Born to Fly" performed by Sara Evans, "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" (Travis Tritt and Cory Morrow), and "Long Time Gone" (Dixie Chicks). Scott also toured alongside Robert Plant in Band of Joy, performing vocals, mandolin, guitar, accordion, pedal, lap steel, and banjo.
