Recruiting veterans to the local workforce is the topic of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce ‘Power in Partnership’ Breakfast on Thursday.

Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs Executive Director Colonel Blaine Hedges will discuss the ‘untapped resource’ of service men and women as they leave Fort Campbell and Fort Knox. Josh Blanton of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development will also talk about project management, policy and oversight training incentives.

The U.S. Department of Labor said as of March, the veteran unemployment rate is 3.9 percent.

The event is Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. The cost is $15 for members of the chamber and $25 for those who are not members.
