A 37-year-old Dawson Springs woman has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after police say she opened gunfire at the ConAgra Foods plant in Princeton, Ky. A bystander is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to a police report issued by the Princeton Police Department, Nellie Renee Nichols began firing shots from a semi-automatic pistol during an argument with her mother. A male bystander was hit in the hand and taken to Caldwell County Medical Center for treatment. Nichols then turned the gun on herself, according to PPD and the Caldwell County coroner's office.

Princeton police were assisted at the scene by the Kentucky State Police, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department and other emergency agencies. PPD is still investigating the incident.
