Monday, January 11

Tracy Ross speaks with author and professor Lorraine Lopez, ahead of her reading at Murray State University's Creative Writing MFA program, Tuesday evening in the Clara M. Eagle Gallery.

Tuesday, January 12

Robert Valentine stops by the studio to preview the annual Murray Highland Festival Robert Burns Supper, January 23, of which he is the Master of Ceremonies. They'll discuss all things Scottish, from whisky to haggis. 

Dr. Michael Bordieri, Murray State University Assistant Professor of Psychology, speaks with Tracy, following up on New Year's resolutions - they'll see how they're doing and talk about ways to keep them going.

Wednesday, January 13

Puppies Sound Good! Meet a puppy (or puppies) available for adoption at the Humane Society of Calloway County. Executive Director Kathy Hodge also talks about events and activities in the works for 2016.

Laura Miller of Special Olympics Kentucky previews the Western Kentucky Polar Plunge at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park on February 20.

Cast and crew members from the Murray State University Campus Lights production of Hairspray preview the musical in the studio.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
