Books we're reading at the station and recommend to you. When we're not on-the-air or at our desks, we like to pick up good books. Most of us here at the station are, in fact, avid readers. In the style of NPR's "What We're Reading" (an excellent weekly guide) we, too, decided to share what we've been reading. Here's a list of books recently read by WKMS staff members, student workers and volunteers.Interested in a book on our list? Follow the Amazon link beneath the picture. Staff Pick from Calloway Co. Library: 'Mail Order Bride'

Looking for a good book to read, but not sure where to start? Make a visit to your public library! Here's another in our series of recommended reads from the staff at the Calloway County Public Library, Mail Order Bride by Debbie Macomber, reviewed by Brandy Reed and read by AJ Boston.

Review: Mail Order Bride is a love story about a lady named Caroline Myers. Caroline's aunt suggested that she take a vacation to Alaska. Once Caroline got to Alaska, she was surprised that her aunts had cooked up this plan for her to be a mail order bride for a man named Paul Trevor. Caroline had to agree to marry a man that she didn't know or had never heard of. Will Caroline stay married to Paul or will she try to get out of the marriage to a man that she knows nothing about?

Staff Picks from the Calloway County Public Library is an ongoing series on WKMS. Hear more staff picks on Sounds Good, and read them online at wkms.org.
