One of Murray State's leading administrators is stepping down and returning to his previous position.

Dr. Tim Todd has served as interim provost and vice president of academic affairs since July, 2015 when Jay Morgan took a position with the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

Todd will return to his previous role as Dean of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business.

Todd joined Murray State faculty in 1995, rising to Assistant Provost in 1998 and Associate Provost in 2002 and was Dean of the College of Business since 2006.

In an email to MSU faculty, staff and students, President Bob Davies said the move was Todd’s personal decision and praised his leadership and collaborative work as Interim Provost.  Davies says he will appoint a new Interim as soon as possible.

Todd will stay in the position and as leader of the Academic Budget Task Force until a replacement is found.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
