RIVERfront Concert Series Flyer, Paducah Parks Services

Paducah Parks Services The Paducah Riverfront has long been a favorite destination for downtown visitors, whether sitting and watching riverboats float by or enjoying an evening picnic to cap the day. Starting later this month, visitors can also enjoy some free music while taking in the scenery as Paducah Parks present the RIVERfront Concert Series.

The RIVERfront Concert Series brings in musicians from all over the country, pairing them with local bands, for performances by both on the Wilson Stage at the foot of Broadway in Downtown Paducah. The riverfront provides the perfect landscape for the concert series' theme of "Sounds, Sunsets and Summertime." Even more perfect, the first bands to play this year both pull their musical style and moniker from rivers. Local favorite The Wheelhouse Rousters play along Harpeth Rising, a female acoustic trio, Thursday May 28th beginning at 6pm.

Paducah Parks Special Events Coordinator, Molly Tomasallo spends considerable time hand selecting and pairing bands. She feels WKMS is the perfect place to promote the community focused RIVERfront Concert Series, adding "The concert series offers a wonderful spotlight and partnership of local and nationwide artists and WKMS captures the community at its best!" The RIVERfront Concert Series is just one of the many special events planned for the summer.

Information about the concert series and other programs is available at the City of Paducah Special Events page.
