4:15: The National Weather Service in Paducah has lifted a severe thunderstorm watch for the Kentucky counties of Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman, Fulton, Graves and McCracken. And the Illinois counties of Pulaski, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Hardin, and Williamson.
The watch is still in effect for other west Kentucky and southern Illinois counties. The risk of severe thunderstorms should diminish quickly after sunset. Marginal hail and gusty winds may still be possible across parts of the Kentucky Pennyrile and Southwest Indiana until shortly after dark.
2:30: Pea to dime sized hail has been reported as a line of storms move east across southern Illinois and far west Kentucky.
12:40: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued until 8 tonight for most of western Kentucky and souther Illinois.

According to the National Weather Service office in Paducah, there is a risk of severe thunderstorms today. The storms will be capable of large hail, damaging winds, and possibly tornadoes.
The area with the highest probability for severe storms will be east of the Mississippi River, and the time frame of concern is from midday through late afternoon.
There is also a chance of thunderstorms Sunday afternoon through Monday morning, and then again Wednesday. The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low, however.
