An estimated 26,500 people turned out for Owensboro’s annual outdoor bluegrass music festival.
The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum released figures Tuesday from the event held June 26-29 at Yellow Creek Park in Daviess County.
The attendance figure is about the same as the one from last year’s event.
Bluegrass music fans came to Owensboro from 40 states and six countries outside the U.S.: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, and Uganda.
The largest single day attendance was seen on the last day of the event, Saturday, June 29, when 9,500 music fans turned out.
Next year’s ROMP will be held June 24-27, with more details released this fall.
