Lake Barkley State Resort Park to Participate in Worldwide Group Workout

facebook

With an eye on a world record, Lake Barkley State Resort Park is looking for some fitness participants.  The aim is to set the record Saturday for the world's largest simultaneous group workout.

Amber Harris, with the park's fitness center, says admission is being waived for the event.

"Everybody that will come in with sign in with someone who's going to be here from the group that's putting it on and then I guess they will count them up and it will go from there," Harris said.

The state resort park is participating with other fitness locations all around the world in the coordinated workout.  The Kentucky Parks Department says nutrition company ViSalus is sponsoring the effort.

Sign in starts at 11:15 a.m. with the one-hour workout scheduled for noon.
