Patti’s 1880’s Settlement Working Toward Fall Restaurant Reopening

A popular restaurant and tourist attraction in west Kentucky is looking to re-open this fall.

The Patti’s 1880’s Settlement restaurant closed after a fire broke out in the kitchen more than a year and a half ago. Marketing and PR director Ann Martin said the new roof is up, the kitchen is complete and crews are spraying cedar inside. Martin said they plan to decorate in the next couple weeks and hope to open in early October. Room layouts may be different, but Martin said they want to retain the same history and memorabilia.

“We are still going to have those quaint, small rooms that we did in the past. We’ve added three new ones that we think people are going to enjoy,” Martin said. “One of them that we’re real excited about is called the Robin’s Nest and that’s a gazebo room that you’ll be able to sit and look out over the gardens and the lights.”

Martin said the room is named after an employee who passed away last year. Owners recently opened T. Lawson’s Grill across the street, named after the founder of Grand Rivers. She said the food truck that opened following the fire is closed.
