The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is holding a hearing next week to seek public comment on the reconstruction of U.S. 641 between Murray and Hazel.
The meeting is on August 22 at the Hazel Baptist Church from 5 to 7 p.m.
KYTC says the public can review the preferred route and alternatives and provide input on the environmental assessment document and additional direction on the final design process.
About 400 people attended a previous meeting last March.
The county received a $23 million federal grant for the project. Local leaders say the reconstruction is needed due to heavy traffic and safety concerns.
A one-mile portion of U.S. 641 just south of Murray is expected to be ready for construction bids this fall.
