The Murray State University men’s basketball team’s NCAA Tournament hopes took a hit this weekend as they lost on a late three-pointer to Belmont University in the Ohio Valley Conference championship.
The loss snapped a 25-game winning streak by the Racers, who ran the table in OVC regular season play.
The team must now wait until Sunday to find out if they will receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. If the Racers don't make the cut, they will receive an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament as a regular season conference champion.
Here is hoping the Committee does not penalize Murray St - They have had a fabulous yr. - Deserve a bid ! http://t.co/LbKua3pThJ
