Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Wednesday delayed the deadline for filing state income tax returns by three months as officials reported the state’s largest one-day jump in COVID-19 infections since the first case was reported in late January.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker contends allocation of state funds to Southern Illinois University's Edwardsville and Carbondale campuses should be done on a proportional basis with criteria that includes student population and building needs.
