MAC - The War Tapes
By Bryan Bartlett
Murray, KY – Since coalition forces invaded Iraq in 2003, a number of documentary filmakers have taken their cameras to the front lines to tell the stories of the men and women fighting there. More recently, director Deborah Scranton decided to take a diferent approach. Rather than embed herself, she provided digital cameras to the soldiers of the New Hampshire National Guard deployed there. Over the course of a year, the soldiers shot more than one thousand hours of footage. The resulting documentary film, "The War Tapes" tells their story.
