An automotive parts manufacturer plans to construct a new facility in Henderson creating up to 90 new jobs.
South Africa-based Hansens Aluminum plans announced plans today to build an $18.4 million 75,000 square-foot aluminum extrusion facility at the Henderson County Riverport.
Local government officials praised the move saying the high-paying manufacturing jobs will give the community an economic boost.
Founded in 1956, Hansens is the first South African company to take advantage of the Foreign Direct Investment incentive in Kentucky.
Hansens exports parts to automotive suppliers in Germany, Spain, Poland, China and Mexico.
Construction on the plant is expected in April and could start producing parts by the end of 2017.
