Kentucky’s latest unemployment figures show a seasonally adjusted rate of 4%. The Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics released the report on Thursday.
The agency says the rate remains unchanged from the 4%reported in March. The preliminary jobless rate is down 1.2% since April 2017.
The civilian labor force increased by 3,678 for a total of 2,053,872. Trade, transportation and utilities saw the largest employment gains in April. Manufacturing saw the largest decline.
The national unemployment rate for April is 3.9%.
The survey is designed to measure trends in the number of people working and includes jobs in agriculture and people who are self-employed.
