KCTCS President to Speak at Area Community Colleges This Month

KCTCS

The President of Kentucky’s Community and Technical College System is coming to our region as part of his listening tour at the KCTCS campuses.

Jay Box began his 16-college “Out of the Box” listening tour last month in east Kentucky to gather feedback on the system’s six-year strategic plan.

“Because our Strategic Plan will be what drives our entire institution for the next six years, it is vitally important that it is designed through a process that includes input from not just the colleges of KCTCS, but also the entire state that we serve,” said Box.

Box’s tour schedule includes

  • Owensboro CTC - April 9th
  • Madisonville CTC - April 14th
  • Hopkinsville CTC - April 15th
  • West Kentucky CTC Paducah - April 16th.

Box took office in January and is the statewide system’s second president.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
