Kentucky Gubernatorial candidate Jack Conway has agreed to participate in a series of debates with GOP candidate Matt Bevin.
The Conway campaign accepted invitations to six joint appearances throughout the state before the Nov 3 election.
“I look forward to a serious discussion with my opponent about the issues that matter most to Kentucky families,” said Conway.
The schedule includes:
- June 19 - County Judge-Executives/Magistrates Conference - The Galt House, Louisville
- July 23 - Kentucky Farm Bureau "Measure the Candidates" - Louisville
- August 1 - Fancy Farm Picnic/Political Speaking - Fancy Farm, Graves County
The candidates will also appear on debates broadcast on statewide radio and TV:
- October 6 - WAVE-TV - Centre College
- October 25 - KY League of Women Voters - Eastern Kentucky University
- October 26 - Kentucky Tonight - Candidates for Governor - KET
KY Lieutenant Governor candidates, democrat Rep. Sannie Overly and republican Jenean Hampton, will also appear together on Kentucky Tonight's program October 19th.
A spokesman for Bevin said the campaign has already accepted numerous debate invitations and will continue to accept them.
