UPDATE: The site has been cleared. All lanes are open.
Original Story: Southbound lanes of the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway remain closed while crews work to remove a semi-trailer that crashed and rolled over this morning.
KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd says the crash is along the southbound lanes between the KY 131/Said Road Exit 27 interchange and the US 45 Mayfield Exit 25 interchange.
A detour for southbound traffic is via KY 131, KY 58, and KY 121 to US 45 to return to the Parkway at Exit 26.
Northbound traffic remains open but KYTC stresses caution due to emergency personnel along the roadway near the site.
The closure is expected to last past noon.

Regarding the crash, Graves County Sheriff DewayneRedmon reports that his office received a report at 7:16 this morning of a semi rollover at the 27mm of the Jackson Purchase Parkway. Deputites arrived to find the semi on it's side in the median.
The truck was operated by Patrick Lee Jr. of Wheller, TX and he had been southbound on the parkway when he ran off the the roadway to the right, went up an embankment and overturned into the median. His wife, Merle Shug, was a passenger in the sleep berth. Shug was flown by AirEvac to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for treatment of her injuries. Lee was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Mayfield/Graves County EMS and Fire and Rescue, KSP Commercial Vehicle Division, KYTC and Burl's Wrecker Service of Mayfield.
