Governor Matt Bevin appointed Retired Brigadier General Norman E. Arflack as the new Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs.
Arflack has a long and distinguished military career in the U.S. Army and served as Kentucky Deputy Adjutant General prior to his appointment as Secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. He completed 23 years of service with the Kentucky State Police. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and Southern Police Institute, and earned a Masters of Public Administration from Shippensburg University.
