Kentucky's two most recent governors are feuding over the state's past and its future.
Republican Gov. Matt Bevin and former Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear have publicly criticized each other more than any other governors in recent memory. Beshear says Bevin should not dismantle the state's health care reforms. Bevin says Beshear lied about whether the state could afford the changes.
Beshear has started an advocacy group that has paid for ads criticizing Bevin while Bevin says he'll use public money to hire a private law firm to investigate Beshear for potentially violating state ethics and procurement laws.
The feud is likely to extend into the fall elections, where Republicans are trying to take control of the last legislative chamber in the South still controlled by Democrats.
