Paducah realtor Randy Bridges won the Republican primary Tuesday night for third district state representative.
Bridges defeated Paducah businesswoman Joni Hogancamp in a 60 to 40 percent margin. He now faces Democratic businesswoman Martha Emmons in November.
Sitting Democratic Representative Gerald Watkins is stepping down to run for Paducah City Commissioner.
The third district includes a portion of McCracken County.
