Frankfort, KY – Last night the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that supporters say will help transform the nation's healthcare system. However, Kentucky officials say it's too soon to know how the bill will affect residents in the state. Insurance Commissioner Sharon Clark says her office has been reviewing the measure since before the weekend vote. But she says it's still too early to know how many Kentuckians might be covered under the healthcare changes. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates over five hundred thousand Kentuckians are uninsured. The U.S. Senate plans to take up a budget reconciliation bill, including final health care revision Tuesday.
