Suit over Hemlock Semiconductor

By Rebecca Feldhaus/Clarksville Leaf Chronicle

Clarksville, TN – Two Hendersonville, Tennessee developers have filed suit claiming the Industrial Development Board in Montgomery County used too much of their land to build a railroad spur. The spur is part of infrastructure improvements for the new Hemlock Semiconductor plant. The Leaf-Chronicle reports Fulton Wilson and Jeff Robinson are seeking at least $900,000 in damages. The newspaper reports developers acknowledge the rail bed easement existed when they bought the property, but claim the section wasn't wide enough and construction took more of the land without their permission. Neither Robinson nor Wilson would comment on the matter. The $1.2 billion plant will make polysilicon to support the growing solar industry.
