Murray, KY – Two Murray men pleaded guilty yesterday in connection with a beating death last year in Calloway County. 29-year-old Michael Lynch, a diagnosed schizophrenic, pleaded guilty but mentally ill to the murder charge in exchange for a 25-year recommended sentence. 30-year-old Timothy Adams pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and tampering with evidence in exchange for a 10-year recommended sentence. The Paducah Sun reports an autopsy on the body of their victim Carl Douglas McGowan found he was alive for over a day after the beating before succumbing to his injuries.
