Paducah, Ky. – The floodwall entrance at the foot of Broadway in Paducah will close from 1 to 4 PM Saturday for the Jackson Purchase Conservative Tea Party event. City officials announced the floodwall closure today. They cite safety reasons for preventing cars from entering the riverfront during the event, to be held on Wilson Stage and the surrounding area. For boaters and fishermen, access to the riverfront boat ramp will be limited to the Kentucky Avenue floodwall opening.
