Murray, Ky. – Construction is underway on a joint Murray-Paducah effort to build townhouse apartments for survivors of domestic violence. Local officials gather in Murray Monday morning for the groundbreaking of the $4.2 million Merryman House project. Eight units are under construction on Diuguid Drive, and the remaining 12 are being built in Paducah. The housing is part of the $8.8 million Kentucky Domestic Violence Association Homes project.
