Hopkinsville, KY – Christian County Public Schools is participating in a new military-style dropout prevention program being tested at five school districts across the country. Project PASS is a partnership between the Army and the National Association of State Boards of Education. The program uses leadership training such as Junior ROTC to boost student achievement. Hardin County in Kentucky is also participating in the program, as well as districts in Florida, Georgia, and Kansas. The three-month-old program is a pilot project that may lead to a national initiative.
