Preston Resigns As Homeland Security Director

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Homeland Security Director Tom Preston has resigned effective Tuesday. Governor Steve Beshear has appointed Gene Kiser as acting director until a permanent replacement is named. Kiser has been the deputy director for three years now. Kiser says Preston will be a "hard man to follow."
