Four Ft. Campbell Soldiers Killed in Afghan Suicide Blast

Fort Campbell, KY – The Army has identified four Ft. Campbell soldiers who were killed in a weekend suicide bombing in Afghanistan. A Taliban agent disguised as an Afghan soldier blew himself up during a Saturday meeting, killing five and wounding twenty-three others. Fort Campbell Officials report among those killed in action were 35 year old Sergeant 1st Class Charles Lewis Adkins of Sandusky, Ohio, 39-year-old Sgt. Cynthia Renea Taylor of Columbus, Ga, 28 year old Sergeant Linda Lamou Pierre, 28, of Immokalee, FL and 21 year old Specialist Joseph B. Cemper of Warrensburg, MO. These casualties bring the total number of Fort Campbell Soldiers killed in action this year to 18.
