Flood Predictions Revised

Paducah, KY – The National Weather Service has revised down flooding predictions on the Ohio River. As of midday, the Ohio River will crest at 52 feet on May 1 in Paducah. This is three feet lower than projected yesterday. The river at Cairo is now projected to reach 60.5 feet by May 1, a record high level. The river is up to 58 feet at Cairo now. In Smithland, water will rise to around 51 feet, and may match the previous record level set in 1937.
