Paducah, KY – Sandbagging efforts continue in northeast McCracken County as the Ohio River continues to rise after the Tennessee Valley Authority Kentucky Lake Dam gates. The National Guard is evacuating people in the Lone Oak Road area. EOC Information Officer Doug Harnice says that 104 households were evacuated as of this morning and he expects that number to rise. Sandbags are available to the public and can be picked up at 3700 Coleman Road. Sandbagging volunteers can call 270-448-1500 for more information.
