Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Board of Regents is set to discuss pay raises for faculty and staff at member schools state-wide this week. For Austin Peay State University faculty, this would be the first raise in four years. APSU Vice President Tristan Denley tells the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle the school has not been able to keep salaries up with peer institutions. Denley says the proposed 3 percent across-the-board raise is welcome, but it wouldn't address the disparity in pay compared to other universities. University officials hope to see more funds sent their way to close the salary gap.
