Elizabethtown, KY – A central Kentucky judge may drop the case against a former Fort Campbell soldier charged with killing his estranged wife and another woman. Brent Burke is charged with murder in the 2007 shooting deaths of Tracy Burke and her former mother-in-law, Karen Comer. The case's prosecutor is seeking to drop charges. The move comes after two mistrials and two hung juries in the case. Burke tells WLKY-TV in a jailhouse interview that he's an innocent man and was heartbroken by the killings. Judge Kelly Mark Easton's office says the judge plans to enter an order on the drop-charge request Wednesday.
