Murray, KY –
Paducah's Union Station School and the Mayfield Electric and Water Service Building are among the six Kentucky sites cleared for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The state Historic Preservation Review Board has also approved the proposed listing of the Courtney Mathews House in Lexington, Conrad-Seaton House in Jefferson County, the Cox Building in Maysville and Yew Dew Botanical Gardens in Crestwood. The board is charged with evaluating eligibility for National Register nominations from Kentucky prior to their submission to the National Park Service. Approved nominations will now be forwarded to the NPS for final determination of eligibility, with a decision required within 45 days of receipt.
