Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear used President Obama's appearance in northern Kentucky yesterday as an opportunity to push for less federal regulation of the coal industry. Gov. Beshear says arbitrary changes in Environmental Protection Agency guidelines hurt the coal industry. He says the coal industry is vital to keeping jobs for Kentucky families. Beshear spoke with Mr. Obama prior to the President's speech touting his jobs plan at the Sherman-Minton Bridge in Cincinnati.
